About Dr W. Tabor’s Patent Office
We are pleased to present our Patent Office in terms of its activity and encourage you to cooperate with us in the field of intellectual property protection. The Patent Office has been operating since 1991, initially as the Patent, Commercial and Copyright Law Office under the business name of Kancelaria Prawa Patentowego, Gospodarczy i Autorskiego Szwaja, Tabor & du Vall and currently as a registered partnership under the business name of Kancelaria Patentowa dr W. Tabor Spółka Jawna. The Patent Office’s registered office is located in Kraków, ul. Mazowiecka 28a/8-9.
The Patent Office provides services in the field of the preparation of applications and representation of companies in matters relating to the protection of patents, utility models and industrial designs in various fields, and cooperates in this respect with high-class specialists, among others in chemistry, electronics and mechanics. For a long time dr Wojciech Tabor (a partner in the Patent Office) was a patent and trademark attorney at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and cooperated with individual departments of the university at the time of the preparation of patent and utility model applications.
We have been helping for 30 years
Our Patent Office is the author of applications for such patents as (for example): “Use of peptides produced from human and/or animal heme-protein sequences”, “Vertical axis wind turbine”, “Method of calibrating analytical assays and analyser system for implementing this method” or “Hydraulic mixture for locating environmentally hazardous waste in landfills”. Moreover, the Patent Office has gained a lot of experience in the field of IT solutions protection while cooperating with the leading innovator of the postal delivery market, the Integer.pl Group, which includes Inpost Sp. z o.o. link to Inpost recommendations.
The Patent Office has filed applications for approximately 200 patents and utility models in Poland and abroad and more than 500 applications for industrial designs in Poland and in the European Union.
We handle cases pending before the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, the International Bureau of WIPO (Geneva), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (Alicante) and the European Patent Office (Munich). An important part of our activity is the cooperation with patent offices around the world to protect our clients’ intellectual property.

The Office’s activity is not only limited to patent and industrial design cases, but the Patent Office also specialises in trademark issues, having gained more than 30 years of experience in this field, in particular as regards examining, applying for and handling cases relating to trademark rights before the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, as well as registering trademarks in patent offices all over the world.
The Patent Office has registered more than 3,000 trademarks in Poland, the European Union and internationally, including such brands as: Jagiellonian University, Bielenda, Tauron, Comarch, Wierzynek, BPH, InPost, Telefonika, Urzędowski, Zetom, Jurajska, Polmos, Unimil, Biogran, Bolix, Ferro, Cracovia on behalf of Polmos and many others, including registration of the sound trademark of St. Mary’s Trumpet Call on behalf of the Municipality Office in Kraków. We also cooperate on a permanent basis with large entities from various business fields, including such companies as: ORLEN OIL Sp. z o. o., TAURON POLSKA ENERGIA S.A., InPost sp. z o.o., Bank BPH S.A., Bielenda Kosmetyki Naturalne Sp. z o.o., Van Pur S.A., the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Jurajska S.A., Tele-Fonika Kable S.A., Ciarko Sp. z o.o. Sp. K., Bolix S.A. and others. For many years the Patent Office has also been providing services to Suder & Suder Sp. z o. o. and Suder Plus Sp. z o. o., which are one of the largest Polish distributors of spare parts for trucks and buses. We treat all our clients with the utmost care, which results in long-term cooperation and many successes.

In addition, the Office provides services in the field of combating unfair competition and in other areas that are at the interface of issues relating to the protection of industrial property and the valuation of such rights.
Apart from handling matters concerning the granting of patents, utility model and trademark protection rights and industrial design registration rights, we have a vast experience in handling litigations and appearing before the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, EUIPO and Polish and foreign courts, including administrative and common courts.
The Patent Office provides a wide range of services, which is possible thanks to the involvement of a team composed of several patent and trademark attorneys, including European Patent and Trademark Attorneys. In addition, we cooperate with specialists in many fields, in particular patent examination engineers who have many years of experience in mechanics (motor vehicles, precision mechanics), chemistry, electronics and in other fields.
